With the winner qualifying for the Sheffield dart master rounds 1-10 this was a crucial knockout not just for cash and pride but taking one step closer to joining the pdc circuit.

CARL WILKINSON had a very tough opener as he took on mag7 180 champion john bowler and got through a tricky contest and then had to navigate pass Yorkshire legend steve briggs among others before setting up a semi final against tony darlow who had just won a bradford darts competion and the players championship in rotherham.Tony himself had himself some tough matches to get to the semis including powerful youngster nathan "whizz kid" richards and the semi final went the way of carl wilkinson as he beat tony darlow 4-2 to make the final.

the top half of the draw looked wide open as john cartledge had battled his way through beating nick white in the quarters after a hard fought last 16 match and he was to take on andy firth who had gotten passed fellow friend aaron wike in the last 16 but andy firth had far too much for john cartledge as he went through to the final 4-0.

the final looked to be a close thing on paper but the dartfield ace carl who had given his all throughout the day.
proved to have too much power as he won it 4-0 over
andy taking the prize and with it qualification into all Sheffield darts masters
