I started playing darts in my mid 20's along with my brother and between us picked up the skegness open 4 out of 5 years in the mid 90's.i also got through to the last 16 of a regional uk open competition going down 5-3 to roland scholton and in the same year got to the last 64 out of of 500 players in the British open.I got through to the last 16 of the world pairs in 2002 in blackpool and made the final of the vauxall international open pairs by my early 30's in 2005 i had started to play county for derbyshire and became a regular in the A side and also picked up the sheffield wards singles championship,i then retired from darts to bring my family up but then returned to the board in 2012 and within a year had won the mag7 singles crown.in 2013 i also won the champions cup and then finally having the time i started to enter more valuable competitions and got to the final of the rileys darts master going down by 6-4 in legs in the final and 4 weeks later returned to the same venue to capture the north of england protege title in a very close game winning 5-4 and continued into the uk protege championships going down in the last 8 to the eventual finalist.from now i take my chances at qschool in a chance to join the pdc circuit.
