Craig had made his way through several opponants including PDC player Kenny Hoult,Yorkshire youth's Owen Cubit,sheffield rising star Jordan Lister and former county man Glen Lister before hitting the last 16.Also in the last 16 was nearly man Ryan Goffin after getting past Pat Meeson among others,Paul Bettany had also made it getting the better of Lee Cushworth in the early stages.Tom Sawford would add to his growing reputation seeing off Matt Pryor,Dion Evans and Kieran Evans.Ben Beardmore hitting a barrage of maximums would also gain his place along with Bob Pinder and Lee Wolfe and Nigel Daniels showing the form that got him into the 3rd round of the uk open recently with wins over Lee Slack,Brian Lewis,Sam Fordham and Gary O'Donell.Nigel would then beat Arnie Sidebottom,Ben Beardmore and have a cracker of a semi final beating Protégé champion Jason Marriott.He would meet Craige who in the last 16 beat Neil Beresford,last 8 Ryan Goffin,semi final Paul Bettany before winning the final 4-2,Craig was in terrific form all day only dropping 5 legs in all 8 games played on his way to the final and took the title and both men now make there way to what looks like being the best tournament line up seen in local competiton for many a year as dartsmania get even closer.
