It was the 3rd Projectdarts/Reddragondarts SDM this year and.......
It was business as usual for the PDC star as Jason Marriot who has won at this venue before and did so again taking the SDM 3 and looking like a real contender for the grand final.....
Jason Kicked things off with a solid display beating rotherhams Kristian Larkin before putting pay to a fellow PDC up and comer Carl Moorhouse as Super Marrio gained some revenge for Qschool.Jason would then win a battle against Steve Flower Power Thompson who had come through tough matches against Andy Else and former Yorkshire star Steve Rumble.and then get the better in the semi-final against Darren Breedon who had taken out current SDM grand champion Bob Hellraiser Pinder and maximum overdrive Nigle Woldsfold.The bottom half of the draw was won by Nicky Bell who would make his Projectdarts final debut who had the toughest draw with Worksops Chris Cooper in the opening round and then followed that up by Nottinghamshire county star Tom shooter Sawford and then a close call with former sdm winner Nick White and in the semis he would meat Mark Ellis who had suprissed all by getting this far in a run which had see him beat Gareth Baxter,Chris Keane and Dale Robinson but then have his run alted as he went down 4-3 to Nicky Bell.The final failed to show Nicky Bell at his brilliant best which had seen him into the final with Jason Marriot racing away to a 3-0 lead and then back came Nicky but it was short lived and Jason would then take the 5th leg and with it the match to be the 3rd different winner of this years sdm and put himself in contention and a real favourite for the title.
