Wilkie extends his lead at the top as he takes the 3rd masters

It was a solid performance by the man from Darfield as he became the 3rd masters winner beating a field of very good players and some of them world class........

we started with the first round with some unbelievable match-ups as several players tipped to win today would cross darts in the first round.arguably the biggest tie of the first round was Dave "the dark knight" Copley taking on Simon Birkett and after the match swayed back and forth it was the man from Steelers that just edged out the Castle club player 3-2.Bob Pinder back on form ran out a surprise 3-0 winner in another cracker over Steve Briggs.Carl Moorhouse and Kev Rimmer had a close match as two more possible winners fought out a 3-2 game with Kev Rimmer making it into round two.yet more terrific games happened as Paul "redders" Redfern took out "cookie" Ian Cook the mag7 summer champ 3-1 in legs.for many also the tie of the round was "pistol" Pete roebuck just edging out "the dream" Darren Weaver 3-2 with both players trading off a 90+ average. In other games Brian Lewis was inspired as he hit 3x100+ checkouts in a 3-0 over Tom Briggs and a 150 been the highest.Jimmy chinowski had a 3-2 win over Craig Fisher,Joel Burkhill claimed a tight 3-2 win against Jack Hibbet after only throwing for 7 weeks and Roger Read did very well to get through after arriving at the venue after been in a road crash not 30 minutes before.
