ROGER HITS DOUBLE WARDS WIN

Wards climaxed wednesday night as it was finals night..........

Trades and labour club had already won the league convincingly under the guidance of paul hodson and now they had a chance to do the double as they took on woodbourne in the final......

roger read throwing world class darts is the wards champion
woodbourne team knockout winners

woodbourne kicked off with 1st blood as trevor burkhill got the better of ian cook to give the woodbourne the lead and then roy gorman outfoxed steve thompson in a very close game that could have gone either way before stewart orton then played very well to see off mark pigot to give trades a 2-1 lead before jason cole put the match all square with a tremendous 2-0 victory over steve blythe.wild bill, billy fields then put trades ahead with a good win over pat meeson before phil lambert beat aiden cook to level the match at 3-3 and mick hulley and phil lambert went right down to the last dart but it was the woodbourne team that took the game under a very solid captains display by antonio cruz who threw every dart with his team.

the night really belonged to one man roger read who has been suffering from the infamous dartitus 12years and has now started to conquer it and he was the best player has he picked up the pairs knockout with his partner dave rhoddis and then went on in the same evening to capture the singles crown in what was a memorable occasion for the snake as he and trades ian cook traded world class darts before roger took out the decinding leg with the first chance at double top,BRILLIANT!!!!!!
