11 darts leg Darren Johnson
This week we had lots of players missing but still managed to have quite a few games as players used it to catch up and no one more that Lee Cushworth the darting demon as he rallied off 3 wins beating Bob Pinder,Tom Sawford and Chris Keane, two games stood out as TV standard belters as Simon Birket just held off mark Pigott 4-2 with both players crucifying the treble 20 as only one of the legs went above 20 darts and also 2x100 plus checkouts but even that game had to bow down to arguably the game of the league so far as Andy Umney came from 2-1 down to lead 3-2 over Darren Johnson with Andy hitting a maximum and two sub 15 dart legs and dynamite himself hitting low legs also but the last leg was as good as seen anywhere worldwide as Andy against the darts hit 140,134,140 and never had another darts as Darren Johnson showing us why he is a top PDC star rattled in a 11 dart leg to level the match and save a point at 3-3,Steve Briggs and Pete Daffin traded 180's in a 3-3 draw also and Tom Sawford and Andy Bradbury finished on the same scoreline.

DYNAMITE JOHNSON BLOWS UP SCUNNY

Projectdarts 2014 Scunthorpe Open report

The maximum field of 40 players took the the oche in at Riley's in Scunthorpe this weekend for the Scunthorpe open and boy did it not disappoint as the 40 men where drawn out into 8 groups of 5 players with the top two going through to the last 16 knockout stages. It was very hot and so was the darts..........

Group 1
Well this was a complete group of death as Pete Jacques kicked things off with a win over Darren Diesel and John Daniels inflicted a defeat to Simon Birkett.Carl  Moorhouse Rallied  to beat Jaksey and the diesel went down without a leg to Daniels,Budha Simon Birkett then got into gear with a win over Carl Moorhouse and Jakesy just edged out a thriller with John Daniels but when Daniels then lost to Carl it sealed both men's fate as John went out but Carl went through and Simon victory over Pete gave Simon the group with Carl in 2nd both with the same leg difference but Simon beat Carl so topped the group.

Group 4
This was a tight group this one as with only two games left to play four men could still get through only the unlucky Tom Sawford with missed doubles missing out on the last games but the group ended up going to Dan Liggit winning his first three games and was closely followed by Kenny Hoult,John Jagger and Tommy Lishman and with all three men on 4 points it went down to the games and but John's victory over Kenny Hoult was enough to give him 2nd spot

Group 7
this was by far the closest group of the day as 2pts separated the top 4 as Scott Jackson won his first two games then lost and his next opponent had done the same but had lost his first and then won his next two and it was Lee Cushworth who looked to be going through as he was sat on a double with the game level only for youngster Scott Jackson take out a 155 to go into the next round and he was followed there by Tom Gregory who beat Owen Cubit in the last game to edge the group and go through as the winner
