The last 32 got underway with Jack Hibbet putting pay to Chilito's attempt for the masters title as Jack moved into the last 16.Chris Cooper had a maximum and a 13/14 dart legs in his titanic battle with the messiah Brian Lewis and Ian Cook was starting to roll back the years and look dangerous as he took out the very dangerous Daz Johnson.Darren Weaver and Paul Redfern had beaten Danny Hacket and Andy Firth on there way into the last 32 to play arguably the match of the tournament as Darren hit 2x180s,114 c/o and a 14 dart leg and Paul had 2x180s a 114 and a 111 c/o and a 14/15 dart legs in a absolute thriller to see Redders go through 3-2.John Daniels good form continued as he beat Bob Pinder who had hit 3x180s in his last game but it was Danny going through.

last 8

MATT PADGETT 3-0 SIMON BIRKETT
PAUL REDFERN 3-1 RICH BECK
TONY DARLOW 3-2 CHRIS COOPER

MAT PADGETT 3-0 PAUL REDFERN
IAN COOK 3-0 TONY DARLOW

The final was played out by two very tired contestants but although both men not at the best of ability it did gives some excitement as cookie missed doubles to level the game but it was padge that stretched out to a 2-0 lead before Ian pulled one back only for Matt to claim victory and with it his 1st SDM.

MATT PADGETT 3-1 IAN COOK.

WHAT AN AMAZING WEEKEND..................................................................

well what an amazing weekend for projectdarts,it had it all for the players representing our efforts for you all.......

our budding young star Cameron Hinchcliffe representing England in the friendship tour of Ireland and helped his team win the tournament.

Projectdarts held D-day and found two new players to join team project in Graham Husher & Jason Marriot.

Lots of players with our colours in the welsh open including John Walton who was very unlucky to go out to welsh captain Martin Phillips in the last 8.

Tony the tiger Darlow winning the BDP event in Bradford.

Dave Copley and Chris Gill fighting out a superb final in the Woodbourne knockout

But the last but certainly not least was Darren Weaver winning Riley's darts masters and claiming the £1000 1st prize.

I am very proud to say I know you all and thank you for a tremendous week end.

Projectdarts premier league sponsored by Red dragon darts

It was an interesting night in the premier league as the top 5 all won but lurking behind now are some big players taking shape...........

We started tonight like we was in Maplins head office only missing Ruth Maddox to make the announcements but the tungsten didn't half fly well and also mid table players made there move for the top section in a quality night of darts.......

We kicked of the night as "super daff" bashed in a 180 and a 80+ average to record a 4-0 victory over Ricardo Cruz while "Mr P" blasted in a 14 dart leg and a 130 checkout to record a Mark Pigott 4-0 Tom Briggs victory and "the tiger" Tony Darlow beat "the sword" 4-2 in a cracking contest including 5 sub 20 dart legs and a 122 from the tiger.Lee Cushworth continued to stay on the leaders tail as he beat Russ Simons 4-2 and former world champion John Walton averaged close to 100 with a 4-0 win over Karl Sailbury-Roper who himself had a 75+.Steve Rumble and Richard Brown then had a classic match with all 6 legs sub 21 darts and both men hitting 100+ checkouts.Big red won 4-0 over "shilton" Andy Taylor and a 3-3 draw between "bradders" and Rich Beck was a terrific game as the pair could not be split as it could have gone 4-0 either way but ended in a  deserved stalemate.John Daniels was in terrific form as he raced to a 4-0 win over Tom Briggs with a 88+ average and including a brilliant 111 c/o.Andy Umney gave a good show on his first game as he hit a maximum and 120 c/o and recorded 3 sub 21 dart legs in a 3-3 draw with Paul Beck who had a 16/20 legs score.Stevie Littlewood hit a very nice 80+ average in a 4-1 route over Ryan Goffin.Steve Briggs was missing doubles but Daz Johnson wasn't as the two had a blistering treble 20 show but "dynamite" recorded the victory as did Simon Birket who had a 4-0 victory over Ryan Critchlow including a maximum from Simon and a 80ave.Trevor Burkhill kept his top spot as he hit a 92+ave in a 4-0 victory over Antonio"tony cross" Cruz and John Daniels did the same in a very impressive 4-0 win over Carl Wilkinson.Andy Bradbury won 4-0 over Joel "the outlaw" Burkhill and Russ "the captain" Simons hit a 115 c/o in a 4-0 victory over Ricardo Cruz.Andy Umney then got his win column underway as he beat Chris Keane 4-0.

week 6 of the premier league got underway this week with some very intresting results as we watched the matches on the big screen

Tony "the tiger" Darlow and Pete Daffin set themselves for a showdown as darlow kicked off winning the first leg before super daff levelled the match only for the tiger to edge in front and back came daff again but two solid last legs by tony bot 17 gave him the victory 4-2 giving Pete his first defeat of the season.Richard Brown rattled in a superb 16 dart leg in a 4-1 victory and bradders Andy Bradbury hit a 19 dart leg on the way to a 4-0 victory.

TONY DARLOW 4-2 PETE DAFFIN
ANDY BRADBURY 4-0 JOELLE WHITE
RICHARD BROWN 4-1 ANDY TAYLOR

John Walton and Simon Birkett had met twice in the last 3 days before tonight's game with the score 1-1 after game in the SDM and Welsh open and bot men battered the treble 20 bed but some decisive finishing from the former world number 1 was to much as a 180,120co and a 91average gave him a 4-0 victory.Steve Briggs hit some good finishers as he raced to a 4-0 win and Mark Pigot and Ryan Goffin fought out a terrific 3-3 draw with both men recording legs under 20 darts.

STEVE BRIGGS 4-0 ANTONIO CRUZ

DARREN JOHNSON 4-2 RYAN CRITCHLOW

Richard Brown kicked this week off as he took it took Ricardo Cruz "control" with a 4-0 victory that left the controls super fan dejected.Steve Little wood and Lester Bowers fought out a very hard 3-3 draw with both men recording two sub 21 dart legs as did Tom "Mr Tomble" Briggs and Paul "Lieutenant colonel" Beck.

LESTER BOWERS 3-3 STEVE LITTLEWOOD
PAUL BECK 3-3 TOM BRIGGS

Ryan "the coffin" Goffin and Dynamite Daz Johnson have both had terrific starts to the league and something had to give and after Ryan shot into a 2-0 lead including a 106 c/o it was then for dynamite to dig incredibly deep and work his way back into the game which he did rallying off  the last three legs in 14/15/16 darts to record a 4-3 victory.a similar scenario as "chilito" Antonio Cruz raced into a 2-0 lead over "the outlaw" Joel Burkhill who then managed to win the next 4 legs to win the game.Simon "budha" Birkett and Andy Bradbury had a tussle but it was the man from chesterfield Simon winning the game 4-2 and remaining unbeaten

DARREN JOHNSON 4-2 RYAN GOFFIN
JOEL BURKHILL 4-2 ANTONIO CRUZ
SIMON BIRKETT 4-2 ANDY BRADBURY

Steve "the Wisdom" Briggs got into gear as he raced to a 4-0 win over the undefeated Ryan Critchlow hitting a 108 and two 18 dart legs.Chris Keane played very well in taking a leg off Chris Burd but it was "the word" who won the game 4-1.Lee Cushworth continues to climb up the table as he recorded a very convincing 4-0 victory over Mark Pigot which see the darting demon come into contention for this

STEVE BRIGGS 4-0 RYAN CRITCHLOW
CHRIS BURD 4-1 CHRIS KEANE
LEE CUSHWORTH 4-0 MARK PIGOT

Jason Cole and Rich Beck played out an absolute epic game as the both blasted the trebles and recorded 4 maximums between em and there was no way to separate them as the game ended all square.Pete Daffin hit a 17/18&20 as he edged out Steve Rumble 4-1 with both men recording plenty of 100+ scores.John Walton was in fine form as after losing the first leg to Richard "bomber" Brown he then rallied off 4 straight legs including a 15 and a 180.

RICH BECK 3-3 JASON COLE
JOHN WALTON 4-1 RICHARD BROWN
PETE DAFFIN 4-1 STEVE RUMBLE

Bob Pinder reversed the result from a recent knockout as he beat a under par Carl Wilkinson 4-0 and Stevie Briggs hit another 108,110&118 c/o as he got the better of Lester Bowers and Ricardo Cruz and Karl Sailsbury-Roper both played out the game of the night as both men looking to get off the mark and it was Ricardo that got the win 4-1.Trevor Burkhill and John Daniels played a sweet match as both men obliterated the lipstick with Trev coming through 4-1 with a 12&15 the best two also 2x180s and finished the game with a 122c/o,terrific game by both players

TREVOR BURKHILL 4-1 JOHN DANIELS

JACQUES AND DAWSON PLAY OUT HOT YORKSHIRE FINAL

Well the standard of darts at the Sheffield open went through the roof with over 100 maximums and more than a hat full of sub 15 dart legs and a 170 checkout, was we watching the Premier league????

What a cracker as some of the midlands and Norths finest turned out to compete for the Sheffield open and in the last 32 it did not disappoint.Chris Gill hit 3x180s and a 12 dart leg as the Yorkshire A star had to much on the afternoon for the gallant but outstanding Ben Oldroyd.Ian Cook made short work of the chauffeur and Brian Hallas hitting maximums and a 14 darter got the better of the solidly sound Dale Robinson.Curly threw some great Darts in his win over former England star Gary Whitely.Young Tom Blogg was unlucky but went down to 180 king John Bowler and young Nathan Richards missed a couple of doubles but went out to Yorkshires Brain Dawson.Steve Briggs and Ryan Critchlow shared some 180's but it was Mr Briggs going through where he was joined by Daz Johnson.A 15 dart leg from the sword Carl Wilkinson was enough as he went through to the last 16 and there he weould meet Ben Dulley who took advantage of missed doubles by Chris Burd who blasted in a 118 checkout.Jack Daykin went through 4-1 over Rob Smith and Carl Moorhouse would join him there with a 4-1 win.Pete Jacques and John Daniels would set up a mouth watering last 16 with victories in the last 32.Russ Johnson had a victory over Chris Keane on his way to the last 32 but went down to Bob Pinder.

PETER JACQUES 5-3 CARL MOORHOUSE
BRIAN DAWSON 5-3 CHRIS COOPER

What a final the Barnsley open winner Peter Jacques taking on the Newbold Cup winner Brian Dawson both men looking to add to there PDO tournament tally.Brian dawson was faultless as he blasted into a 3-0 lead over Peter but grinding out the result Jacques came back with a flurry of 180's to level the game at 3-3 and then Brian missed a dart to retake the lead but Jacques got the double to go 4-3 up and then threw in a 14 dart leg to win the last leg and take the Sheffield open beating a brilliant quality field on the way and moving right up the rankings on the PDO as well as his opponent in the final.

The Sheffield Open Pair was an interesting one with Yorkshire aces Darren Johnson taking on Young guns Joel Burkhill and Tom Blogg both under 18 and giving there all but going down to the experience and brilliance of the Yorkshire men 2-0 and in the other semi it was Pete Jacques and Brian Hallas taking on Steve Briggs and Chris Cooper and it was the Sheffield pairing going through 2-1.The final went right down to the wire as Daz&Chris raced into a 2-0 lead before a fightback levelled the game and then with both pairs having a chance to win it was Mont and Dynamite who secured the win 3-2 to give us two absolute outstanding finals.
